But actually Catriona wants to visitCERN and solve the mystery of how and why her scientist-father was killed inhis Dublinlaboratory six years ago, a murder to which she was the only witness.

In CERN they are taken into an underground cavern so Brigitcan talk to the brilliant but secretive Chinese-Irish scientist Dr MichaelZhang. He has persuaded workaholic shift-leader Danny Schneider to go down toinvestigate what Michael claims is a fault with the ATLAS detector.

But is it really a fault, or does Michael know that a CosmicMonopole has been trapped by the powerful magnetic fields inside ATLAS? Doesn’the realize the Monopole might absorb energy and be transformed into somethingthat could threaten the whole world?

The Cosmic Monopole is the first volume in Time Crystal, aseries which will follow Catriona as she travels back in time to the Big Bangin a desperate attempt to save the Universe.

Wyken Seagrave is passionate about using the history ofthe Universe to help people understand where we came from and learn a littleabout basic science. Time Crystalis perhaps the first ever attempt to tell the history of the universe as a workof fiction.

“Seeing ourselves in a universal context is a salutaryexperience,” Wyken says, “giving us a new perspective on our current problems, many of which are on a global scale. To solve them will require globalsolutions. We all need to make important decisions about our ways of life. Weneed to understand what caused our problems and what options we have forsolving them. We can only obtain this by taking a global view of our situation.”

Wyken has been studying and writing about this subject for40 years. He is the author of www.historyoftheuniverse.comand the newly released and acclaimed eBook “History of the Universe”.

99c promotion & 3 free copies - An Explosive Time

We don't have a new title to list today (but do check out the dozen or so titles currently available on the 'available books' page!). So instead we're going to feature 99c books (Authors are welcome to submit them in the same way as freebies).

Today's featured title is 'An Explosive Time' written by international bestseller Julia Hughes. Last month Julia snagged a whopping 18,000 downloads of her breakout novel 'A Ripple in Time'.
An Explosive Time is a sequel to that success presented in a 40,000 word novella format.

Over forty, and over weight, still driving the Passat, a salvage scheme reject, Detective Crombie's juggling with a set of new in-laws (courtesy of his eldest daughter) steering his favourite daughter away from hedonistic Welsh teenagers, trying to patch up the love story of the century, mentoring naive young police women, tracking down disappearing elephants, getting acquainted with alligators, and oh yeah, exposing a sinister relationship between Whitehall and the biggest villain in London.
A short excerpt to the work is available on Julia's blog.

Otherwise the 99c promotion is on for the next few days in the United States and the United Kingdom.

If you are willing to give this an honest review, then we have three copies up for grabs today only to be gifted via Amazon.com - open to anyone eligible to use the Amazon.com store, and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Be quick as we expect these will go in no time at all.
